Autoresponders With PHP
Author: Robert Plank
First off, check out the URL below. You’ll learn how to make that today. http://www.jumpx.com utorials/3/signup.html Fill out your e-mail address on the page you see. (I promise it’s not being saved anywhere.) Then, wait a minute or two and check your mail. You should get a message from Gumby ( null@jumpx.com ) containing a sample autoresponder message. Today, we’re going to learn three easy things: redirection, mail sending, and form submission. When we finish with that, you will know how to put those components together and create an autoresponder. Because if you think about it, that’s all an autoresponder does. Somebody enters in their e-mail address, are sent an e-mail message, and then are redirected to a new page. Of course there are more complex autoresponders, like Gary Ambrose’s Opt-In Lightning, or Wes Baylock’s Mail Master Pro which handle multiple follow-ups and record the e-mail addresses of those who have signed up for the responder. But today we’re just going to focus on how to make a very basic, very simple autoresponder. Hopefully, you’ve seen what form objects in HTML look like. Here’s some code you can use for an example: Enter Your E-Mail Address: Copy and paste this code into a file called “signup.html” and upload it to your web server. You’ll see a text box waiting for your visitor to enter his or her e-mail address so they can be sent that autoresponse message. Of course, the form won’t work just yet because, if you look at the first line of that HTML code I gave you, you’ll see that the form submits to a script called “some-script.php”. And we haven’t made that just yet. Look on the second line of “signup.html”, at the last half of the line. You should be familiar with HTML tags, but if you’re not, an HTML tag consists of two parts: the parent tag and the attributes. The parent tag is simply the tag’s designation. For example, if you had a slice of HTML code that looked like this: Then the parent tag would be “font”. The rest of what’s enclosed in the tag tells the browser what to do with it. For example, in this tag the attributes are that the font should be Verdana with size 1. Why am I telling you all this? Because it relates to the HTML code you see in signup.html. Now, when you look at this: The code tells the receiving browser that this is an “input” tag, meaning that it’s a form field. The name of this item is “email” and its size is 30, meaning this text box should be 30 characters in width. When the form is submitted, it takes all the values of all the fields inside that form and throws it at its destination. In this case, our destination is “some-script.php”. If you’re lost, this will all make a whole lot more sense once you try this next step. Make a file called “some-script.php” and paste this line of code into it: Upload the script in the same folder as signup.html, and go to “signup.html”. Type your e-mail address in and click the submit button. You should see a new page containing just your e-mail address and nothing else. Is this starting to make sense? You told the PHP script to dump the contents of the variable called “email” to the screen, and you just submitted a form with a text box called “email”. If you want to try one more exercise like this, change the name of the text box to, say, “goober” in signup.html and change the $email in some-script.php to $goober. Upload both, go to signup.html, and type anything into the text box. You’ll get the same result. This is how you’ll pass data from forms (like text fields, drop down menus, radio buttons and the like) along into the PHP scripts you create. We’ve just covered how to submit form elements into PHP. Now let’s focus on sending mail. PHP has a really simple function that uses whatever mail sending program is installed on your server to send messages to the outside world. If you have a crappy web server, this step might not work and you’ll have to use a different web host if you want to try this. But if you’re on a good web host that has PHP installed *correctly*, this shouldn’t be a problem. Up until now we haven’t used functions in PHP too much, aside from simple things like include() and header(). Today’s your lucky day, because functions work in a very similar way to HTML tags. You have the parent tag, and the attributes (or parameters). The mail() function basically works like this: mail(”recipient”,”subject”,”body”,”headers”); Let’s start off by sending a simple e-mail message to yourself. We won’t need any special headers this time around, so this will be quick and painless. Copy this one line of code into “mailtest.php”: …

FOND OF AUTORESPONDERS? WRITE ‘EM RIGHT!
Author: A well-written
Autoresponders are one of the most popular forms of marketing today. The reason for this is a simple one: they work. However, writing a truly effective autoresponder series can frustrating, even for the professional marketer. To come up with an effective series of autoresponders without boring your prospects can be difficult. To help you, here are a few general tips. 1) In my line of work, I see a lot autoresponders. Most of these are one to three pages long, which is generally appropriate for a sales letter. In an autoresponder series, however, keep in mind that your prospects are going to be reading multiple messages from you. Try to keep them each down to about a page and spread the juicy details around a bit. Don’t tell them everything at once. 2) Now let’s talk content. You’d be wise to try to give your autoresponders some continuity so they hang together well. Start with the basic details of your offer, then gradually reveal more and more. When you start a letter, rehash (very briefly) what you told them in your last letter. At the end of each letter, make sure they stay tuned by enticing them about what they’ll find out next time. 3) A word about hype. It can definitely work if you have the right audience and the right product. Feel free to use bold letters, exclamation points, etc., but don’t overdo it. The last thing you need is for your prospects to feel that your message is being jammed down their throats. In any case, it might be helpful to use some imagery. Have your prospects imagine how your product or service can enhance their lives or their business. Use vivid words, describe feelings or circumstances, and then tell them how you can help them achieve those things (or how you can help get them out of where they are right now). A well-written, well-targeted series of autoresponders can do wonders for sagging sales. For tips on writing effective copy for autoresponders, see http://www.drnunley.com/copywriting.htm. Autoresponder Services Improve Your Profits
Author: Stephen Pope
Perhaps you, like me, have web hosting that includes, free of any extra charge, unlimited autoresponders. That being the case, you might be inclined to balk at any suggestion to start paying for them. Recently, however, I made the switch to paying a monthly fee for unlimited autoresponders. Am I rich (with money to burn)? Have I lost my mind? Actually, I consider this move to paid autoresponders to be a wise decision. Here are some reasons why you might want to pay for an autoresponder service. 1. Sequential Autoresponders: Although many web hosts offer unlimited autoresponders, each autoresponder is only capable of sending one response. Building business relationships with paid autoresponder services can thus increase your sales. 2. Tracking Capabilities: The autoresponders that come with your web host don’t have built-in tracking capabilities. Tracking customer response with paid autoresponder services can lead to more effective advertising campaigns. 3. Deliverability: A very large number of your newsletter subscribers are not getting your newsletter if it is sent using your web host’s mailing list program. Improving newsletter delivery with paid autoresponder services will improve your bottom line. 4. Legal Protection: Since the e-mails you send are hosted on the autoresponder service’s servers, you are insulated from false accusations of sending spam (unsolicited commercial e-mail). Protect yourself legally with paid autoresponder services. You could also consider buying an autoresponder program (or script) that will allow you to run unlimited, sequential autoresponders from your websites. However, they can be expensive, require some technical skill, and still have some disadvantages. For example, since you are hosting your own autoresponders, you might still have issues with deliverability and legal protection. Paid autoresponder services, with their many advantages over other autoresponder systems, can increase your business profits. Article Source : http://www.articledashboard.com J. How to Use an Autoresponder or Free Autoresponder to Increase Cash Flow
Author: E. Kinton, Jr.
Autoresponders and free autoresponders are automated email systems that allow you to send a single message, or a series of messages, automatically to people that visit your web site, or request information via a specific link that you provide. Once an autoresponder is set up, it can pretty much operate hands-free which is why they are so popular with marketers. Paid Autoresponders Autoresponders generally come in two separate categories–paid and free. A paid autoresponder will normally cost somewhere in the range of $20-$30 per month depending on how many names you want your system to handle. The more names in your database, the more expensive the monthly cost. Aweber.com and Getresponse.com are two of the more well known paid services. Both of them have been in business for many years, offer unlimited outgoing emails and high deliverability of messages. Free Autoresponders Free autoresponders work the same way as a paid autoresponder except that they may have a few limitations such as number of names that your system will hold, amount of messages you can send monthly, etc. Another major difference between some of the free autoresponders and a paid autoresponder is that they will often place a third party advertisement in your message. In other words, they will allow you to use their system for free but you agree to permit other businesses to be seen at the top of your messages. This can be a major issue, especially if the ads are from competing products or services. If you prefer to use a free service, FreeAutoBot.com and Getresponse.com both offer options. Autoresponder Software A third option to a paid or free autoresponder is automated software. This software allows you to set up the service on your own computer. The benefit of handling your autoresponder this way is that you avoid the regular monthly fees. However, the drawback is that your internet service provider could eventually block you from sending out massive amounts of email on a daily or weekly basis. It is probably easier to utilize one of the many autoresponder companies to handle this process for you versus setting it up on your personal computer. How They Work An autoresponder is a very simple and powerful concept. Once you sign up for the service, through any number of companies, you spend some time uploading it with various “pre-written” emails. These emails are then programmed to be sent out at regular intervals which you determine. You can send them out daily, weekly, monthly or at any other rate that you desire. Basically, an effective autoresponder will present your product or service over and over with little to no effort on your behalf. Once you have it filled with emails, it can literally send messages for years without you touching it. Most sales experts will agree that it takes multiple exposures before a customer will normally decide to make a purchase and an autoresponder can certainly help you to stay on the minds of your visitors. If you have written interesting emails and provided good content, these systems can quickly lead to increased sales as well as repeat buyers. E. http://www.bpcpublishing.net ————————————————————- Turn Your Autoresponder Into A Cash Cow © copyright 2003 Terry Telford Finding an autoresponder is easy. Writing professional sales messages is not. Until now. Let’s take a step back for a moment. When you sign up for a free course or enter your name and email address anywhere on the net, you can be pretty sure you’re going to receive messages from an autoresponder. These messages can take on many different forms. They can be simple providers of information, soft sell letters, hit-you-over-the-head-with-a-hammer-hard-sell-letters, or insulting letters. The latter sounds ridiculous, but I just recently received a message from an autoresponder that asked “Are you crazy?” I don’t know about you, but that’s certainly not a question I’d ask my valued prospects or customers. The simple fact is, it’s difficult to write an effective sales message that persuades your prospect to become a customer. So stop sending them sales letters! Stop and think, are you more likely to buy a product or service from someone you feel you know and trust, or someone who hides behind a website and throws sales letters at you? If you provide your prospects with useful information they can use, they’ll buy from you when the time is right for them. Here’s how you can build up your prospect’s trust and turn your autoresponder into a cash cow. Instead of hard sell, buy now, time is running out sales letters, send your customer useful information. If you sell toys, you might consider a set of autoresponder messages like these: 1. Consumer Report : How safe are your child’s toys. 2. The Top 10 Safest Toys : Here you can present a list of the top 10 safest toys that you have in your store. Each toy that you present in the list can have a link to the sales page on your site for that toy. 3. Toys That Don’t Play Well : Here you can present an article about the hazards that children face when playing with low quality toys. Present the fact (if it is a fact) that all the toys you offer in your store are top quality and safety tested by your own private team of safety testers. 4. Emergency Response to Toy Accidents : This email can focus on what to do if your child has had an accident with a low quality toy. Examples : Choking on small parts, puncture wounds from broken toys, cuts from sharp edges on toys. Offer a printable poster that your prospects can print off and hang on the wall with emergency responses. Your store name and email address should be prominently displayed on the poster. 5. Your Child’s Safety is Priceless : Present the benefits of paying a little extra to get a top quality toy instead of risking your child’s safety to save a couple dollars. Here you can present a list of top quality toys that are guaranteed not to break. Each toy has a link to its sales page on your site. 6. Santa’s Wish List : This can be a simple list of the most popular toys that you sell in your store, but with a twist. You can present the list FROM Santa Claus, instead of TO him. These are the toys that Santa recommends because they are quality, safety tested toys. Same as before, each toy has a link to its sales page on your site. 7. FREE Toy Safety Test : Here you can offer a coupon that your prospect can print out and bring into your store along with any toy they like. The coupon gives them a free safety check for a toy that they bring from home and gives them a discount on a toy in your store. By giving your prospects and customers useful information, the feel they can trust you. When they get an email from you, they are more likely to open it because they know you are going to share something interesting, not just tell them to “Buy my toy - buy my toy - buy my toy.” Of course you have to sell your toys, or you’ll be out of business. You sell your toys by recommending them, not pushing them. If you write your autoresponder messages the same as if you were talking to a friend, you’ll build lifelong business relationships with your customers. If you show that you care about the customer, you have a repeat customer for life. If you don’t have time to write a set of messages for your customers, pick up the brand new package, “Turn Your Autoresponder Into A Cash Cow.” You get 52 professionally written sales messages that will sell anything. Each message is written in a newsletter format, so you always give your customers valuable information first and recommend your product second. 17 features that make your autoresponder an **AUTORESPONDER** - Part 1
Author: Terry Telford
If you are selling anything on the net, you are most likely using autoresponders. If you aren’t, you are losing sales by the truckload. There are lots of good articles outlining the need to use autoresponders, so we are going to focus on the difference between autoresponders and **AUTORESPONDERS.** This article gives you the first nine features your **AUTORESPONDER** should include. Part 2 will give you the remaining eight. Autoresponders come in two flavours, autoresponder and **AUTORESPONDER** If you only want to send information to a prospect once you can get by with an autoresponder. These versions are basic, no frills, get the job done, units. They are great for archiving articles, but a bit basic for a marketing campaign. If you are running a marketing campaign, you need an **AUTORESPONDER.** Multiple follow-ups are essential, personalization is a must, and maximizing sales is the whole point. When you need an **AUTORESPONDER,** shop around. Most of the paid units also offer a FREE, basic version for you to try and kick the tires. Most importantly, if you are paying for an **AUTORESPONDER,** make sure you get all the bells and whistles. 1. An affiliate or partner program that allows you to make a sideline income. If you refer a few other people, you can cover the cost of your own responders and make a little extra spending money on the side. It’s a nice little benefit. 2. Easy to use control panel for setting up and managing your responders. Every **AUTOREPONDER** company is different. If the control panel is difficult to figure out and the instructions are sparse, you risk sending out the wrong responses, in the wrong order to the wrong people. 3. Multiple responders at an affordable price. One **AUTORESPONDER** just won’t do. Even if you are only selling one product, you are likely running more than one campaign. Each campaign should have its own **AUTORESPONDER**. If you are paying over $20 per month for less than 50 **AUTORESPONDERS,** you are paying too much. 4. Unlimited follow up messages from each **AUTORESPONDER**. This really puts your business on autopilot. You can choose to send out follow up messages once a month, once a week, or once a day. Remember that it takes an average of 7 impressions before you turn a prospect into a customer. 5. Changeable send addresses. This is a very handy feature if you have more than one online business. You can send all your **AUTORESPONDER** messages right from the same **AUTORESPONDER** service and use whatever company name and address you wish. 6. Signature file. Your signature file is one of your biggest FREE advertising spaces available. Make sure that your signature file is automatically included with each **AUTORESPONDER** message. Your **AUTORESPONDER** should automatically include your signature file the same way your email program does. 7. Filters. This feature works the same as on your email. If you don’t want to receive mail from a specific address or addresses, simply filter them out. 8. Redirect pages. Once your **AUTORESPONDER** has been clicked on, and your message is on route to its recipient, you can redirect your prospect to another page of your site, a thank you page, or a new sales page, perhaps. 9. Form generator. Having the HTML code automatically generated for a professional form takes all the hassle out of form creation. And that’s not all. In Part 2 of this article there are another eight features that your **AUTORESPONDER** should be offering you. Most of these features are only found in paid responders, but there are good FREE ones on the market as well. My two favourite **AUTORESPONDERS** are: SendFree - FREE **AUTORESPONDER** with some of the bells and whistles, http://www.sendfree.com/affref.php3?ref=39695 Automarketic - **AUTORESPONDER** with all the bells and whistles at an affordable price, http://www.automarketic.com/?terry All autoreponders/**AUTORESPONDERS** are not created equally. The ones mentioned above, in my humble opinion, are two of the best on the market. Take a look around an select the one that is best for you. Good luck with your marketing and God Bless. A Simple Way To Create 7 Effective Autoresponder Messages
Author: Kevin Nunley
Email is the Net’s most powerful marketing tool. And autoresponders are the best idea yet for marketing with email. There is an old saying that the first ad rarely sells. You have to put your product, service, or idea in front of a prospect several times before she buys. Autoresponders are designed specifically to get your message back to the same prospect over and over. That’s why most autoresponder packages come in groups of 7 messages–from the 7 message marketing rule that has been the rule in advertising since our grandparents were in diapers. But what do you say in your 7 messages? We’ve written autoresponder series for hundreds of customers. Here is one method that always works. This method is called REMIND ‘EM. People don’t read your sales letter as carefully as you think. They tend to skim. They read the first message, but miss the second and third message. The prospect may not tune in again until message five. It’s so easy for people to completely miss your main points intended to lead to a sale. It’s important to *repeat* your main message over and over. Say it once, twice, three times in your first message. Say your main message in a different way in the second message. Re-cap your main point again in the third message. That way, people who aren’t paying attention still get your important ideas. Here’s an example of how the “remind ‘em” formula works for a 7 letter series promoting personal security products. Message (1) The world is a dangerous place. You need new innovative security products to insure your protection. Message (2) More details on how and why the world is a dangerous place. List places or situations that are especially threatening. Message (3) Recap how the world is a dangerous place. Give more details on the key new security products that have come out. Now start the middle section of messages. Note how they become more instructional telling people how to use the products. Message (4) Protect yourself from the dangerous world with Product A. Here’s how to use Product A. Here’s why you would use it. Here’s where to use it. Message (5) Protect yourself with Product B. Here’s how to use it. Here’s what happy customers say about it. Tell a hair raising story of how Product B saved a customer’s life. Now comes the wrap-up and reminder, especially important for people who never got around to reading your earlier messages. Message (6) Go back to your main sales letter used in numbers 1 and 2. Start all over reviewing your main points and highlighting your most popular products. Message (7) This is the final follow-up email. I usually have it come two weeks to one month after message 6. It’s designed to scoop up all the people who weren’t ready to buy in the beginning, but may be ready to buy now. It can start with “For the past few weeks I’ve been sending you important information about how to protect yourself in threatening situations. I know you are busy and may not have had time to consider how these products could improve your life and confidence.” At that point, you again review your main points. Repetition is the key to advertising success. Find creative ways to keep the main message going week after week and you will have as many customers as you can handle. Busy prospects simply need time for your message to sink in. As we used to say when I worked in media, it’s just when you and your staff are sick to death of a commercial that the audience is just beginning to notice it. Autoresponder Etiquette
Author: Shelley Lowery
Autoresponders are one of the most widely used promotional tools on the Internet. They’re also known as mailbots, automatic email and email on demand. They were derived from the very popular fax on demand and designed to automatically respond to any email message sent to it with an automatic response. Autoresponder programs vary from autoresponse messages set-up within an email program to a script that runs on a server. This script may run a web-based autoresponder system that utilizes a web page form or it may run with a pop email account on a server. It’s programmed to automatically send out a pre- determined message when a message is received to a specified script address or email address. Not only are autoresponders one of the most widely used promotional tools, but are becoming one of the most widely abused. While using autoresponders will enable you to put a lot of your daily tasks on autopilot, autoresponders can also wreak havoc on innocent individuals who may cross their path. Autoresponder addresses should NEVER be used when submitting your website to Search Engines, Directories, Free For All sites, or in Classified Ad contact forms. Many of these types of websites use autoresponders to send thank you or welcome messages to their users. When their autoresponder sends a message to your autoresponder, this creates what is known as a loop. Each autoresponder will continue to respond to the other. When subscribing to an ezine or email discussion group, always use a real email address and NEVER subscribe with an autoresponder address. Subscribing to these types of publications with an autoresponder address will get you immediately unsubscribed. Why? For example; If you’re a member of a discussion group and receive many messages each day, your autoresponder will respond to every message it receives. Not only will the list owner receive a mailbox full of complaints, but they will also receive all of your autoresponse messages. Another problem ezine publishers encounter with autoresponder subscribers is locating the perpetrator. Many times, the “reply to” and “from” address of an autoresponse message aren’t the same as the address they subscribed under. It takes a great deal of time and effort to track the address, which is time that could have been better spent elsewhere. Another unethical use of autoresponders is autoresponders. Let me explain… There are many Internet Marketers now using unethical techniques to subscribe innocent individuals to their junk mailing lists. They will send a message to an autoresponder address using their subscription address. When the autoresponder answers the message, the “from” address on the autoresponder will be instantly subscribed. This technique is not only unethical, but also unprofessional. Autoresponders can be a wonderful tool for Internet Marketers and can save you hours of valuable time. However, if not used in a professional manner, can wreak havoc on the Internet community. Don’t be tempted to tarnish your professional reputation by indulging in the abuse of our autoresponder system. It’s just not worth the price. How to choose Autoresponder properly
Author: Eugenijus Sakalauskas
Why Autoresponders are a necessary part of your marketing campaign? In order to be really successful online businesses need to understand what it is about the Internet that makes it so appealing to customers. Autoresponders are the powerful marketing and customer service tool that make your customers desire for instant gratification work to your advantage Why is Following Up with Website Visitors Important? Most website visitors don’t order on the first visit. They don’t know enough about your offer to order the first visit. Busy with other projects. Might not have the money to purchase immediately. Still evaluating other products or services and haven’t made a decision yet. Build brand awareness. Build credibility and trust. If you don’t ask for your website visitors opt-in email address when they visit and follow up with them or send a newsletter to them you are losing a significant volume of sales. Experts have shown that it often takes 7 or more marketing exposures before prospective customers purchase. You’ll find Autoresponders in all colours and flavours
This article focuses on the features you need to look for when shopping for an Autoresponder. Here’s what you need to look for. 1. Easy to use control panel for setting up and managing your responders :: If the control panel is difficult to figure out and the instructions are sparse, you risk sending out the wrong responses, in the wrong order to the wrong people. 2. Multiple responders at an affordable price: One unit just won’t do. Even if you are only selling one product, you are likely running more than one campaign. Each campaign should have its own autoresponder. If you are paying over $20 per month for less than 50 autoresponders, you are paying too much. 3. Unlimited follow up messages from each autoresponder: This really puts your business on autopilot. You can choose to send out follow up messages once a month, once a week, or once a day. Remember that it takes an average of 7 impressions before you turn a prospect into a customer. 4. Multiple send addresses: This is a very handy feature if you have more than one online business. You can send all your autoresponder messages right from the same service and use whatever company name and address you wish. 5. Signature file: Your signature file is one of your most effective FREE advertising spaces available. Make sure that your signature file is automatically included with each autoresponder message. Your autoresponder should automatically include your signature file the same way your email program does. 6. Filters: This feature works the same as on your email. If you don’t want to receive mail from a specific address or addresses, simply filter them out. 7. Redirect pages: Once your autoresponder has been clicked on, and your message is on route to its recipient, you can redirect your prospect to another page of your site, a thank you page, or a new sales page, perhaps. 8. Form generator: Having the HTML code automatically generated for a professional form takes all the hassle out of form creation. 9. Pop up email capture device: Make it extremely easy for your prospects to subscribe to your newsletter, eZine, eCourse or eBook. With one click, your anonymous visitor is transformed into a valuable subscriber. Your visitor simply clicks “OK” on a pop up window and they are subscribed with no forms to fill out. 10. Personalization: Your response rate to your email will increase 30 - 70% by personalizing your messages. People are more responsive to email that addresses them by name and doesn’t look like an advertisement. 11. Easy to manage database: Your autoresponder should give you access to a feature rich control panel which makes it easy for you to manage your customer lists. Functions such as easy list back up, manual subscription and removal, and the ability to keep separate lists in a single database, all make your life a lot simpler and save you time at the end of the day. 12. Simple import/export features: This is very important when you are working with lists that you have developed over a period of months or years. The ability to import and export lists to and from other sources allows you to expose your current lists to new offers quickly and easily. 13. Manual add/delete function: Since some email recipients have difficulty understanding the unsubscribe function that is standard with all autoresponders, you occasionally receive unsubscribe requests in your other email boxes. As a courteous, professional business owner, you need the ability to remove these people from your lists manually to avoid complaints. 14. Ability to send a one off message to your lists: Sometimes, you have information that applies to everyone on your lists. With a one off email message, you can alert all of your prospects and customers about an important event with one simple email message. 15. Message in text or HTML: Although the vast majority of email users can accept HTML email, there are still some that can’t. By offering the capability of sending either plain text or HTML email, all your bases are covered and your email can be accepted by everyone. 16. Formatting: Some autoresponder servers are not configured properly to send mail to all mail programs. If your formatting is lost, and your message arrives as one big block of text, the delete button becomes your prospect’s best friend. 17. An affiliate or partner program that allows you to make a sideline income: If you refer a few other people, you can cover the cost of your own responders and make a little extra spending money on the side. It’s a nice little benefit. 18. How do you know that your autoresponder account is working for you? Which of your ads is generating the most leads? Your Autoresponders have to: -View real time reports online or have them emailed to you automatically at predetermined schedules. -All report data can be easily exported in CSV for usage in Excel spreadsheet reporting. -Daily, weekly, and monthly new subscriber graphs. -Sent newsletter statistics including # sent, undeliverables, open rates, and click thrus. -Subscriber ad categories. -Geographic distribution including origin Countries, State, City, Area Code, and DMA Code. -View geographic subscriber distribution around the world visually on a map. -Follow up message open rates and click thrus. 19.Ad Tracking: You put a good deal of time and effort into your marketing campaigns. Autoresponders have to keep track of each campaign’s success. -Automatically track any type of ad, including e-mail, web, print ads. -Track an unlimited number ad campaigns. -Real time reports and statistics per ad category 20. And finally, support: If you end up with an autoresponder company that offers you little or no support, you could be stuck with a problem or question for a long time with no results. An autoresponder company offers a quality support feature, so this type of problem is taken care of immediately. Autoresponders And Shopping Cart Integration
Author: Anton Cheranev -
When people place orders through your website, it is always a good idea to immediately acknowledge the purchase. One way to do this is with the use of an autoresponder that can be integrated with your shopping cart. In fact, many shopping carts that are available today have their own autoresponders built into the system. When you set up your autoresponder to send a message to someone that has placed an order, there are several things that should be included in the message. This is an opportunity to ’speak’ to your customer, and to let them know about other deals that you have or special items that you have available. You should not miss this opportunity. Do not try to get your ‘thank you’ sales message on the same autoresponder as the customers email receipt. Putting the sales message on an email that is automatically sent to grant the customer access to their purchase is also a bad idea - that would go better with the receipt. Make sure your ‘thank you’ sales message is a message that is sent out all by itself, so your customer can focus solely on that! Thank the customer for their recent purchase. Tell them how much their purchase will help them, and then tell them about other available products that work well with the one that they just purchased, or that are similar to the one that they just purchased in some way. For instance hair conditioner works with hair shampoo. Vacuum cleaner bags or carpet powder works well with vacuum cleaners. Just let them know about the various products that you offer that will compliment their purchase in some way. The important thing is to not let your customer get away without further contact! Think about being in a brick and mortar store. When you go up to the counter to pay, there are many items there for sale. These items are meant to be picked up as last minute purchases, or impulsive purchases. Your ‘thank you’ sales letter serves the same purpose. Don’t make the mistake of bombarding your customer! You can usually send them periodic information about your specials after they have made a purchase through you, but emailing them on a daily basis with your offers is not good business! Use your autoresponder responsibly! Make sure that your autoresponder is set up to handle automatic remove requests, and make sure that the information that you are sending your customers is of value to them.
